I knew of Joy before I came to London via Instagram. So when I came to London, I knew I had to meet her and work with her; working like Joy (makeup wise) was my goal. So I contacted her; she was very responsive; and eventually I joined a 3 months mentorship programme she was offering. I had a couple of 1:1 makeup training session, assisted her on weddings and photoshoots as I observed and learned from her skills. We covered branding, social media management, photography and just how to package myself. The whole experience was very informative, I learnt a lot of makeup skills and photography skills, which I use to this date and have worked on my social media presentation using what she taught me, as well observing what she does on her page.

Professional was my biggest takeaway from Joy. She is very professional, very knowledgeable, kind and 100% honest. Most of all, she takes you under her wing and guides you to be a better version of yourself. I look back and see that I have achieved so much because of Joy’s teaching and I wouldn’t trade my experience with her for anything. I later joined her beauty team to assist her from time to time which is always a pleasure. She is honestly simply the best!
